The Mothers to Mothers programme welcomes pregnant women or women with babies who have just been diagnosed HIV+. Pat Qolo provides comfort and containment and helps the women disclose to their partners and families. When the woman feels that she is comfortable with other people knowing her status, if she is in need of material support, Pat refers her into Etafeni's Income Generation programme. There Pat's clients join a group of women in similar circumstances to their own, and the emotional support continues while they gain skills and a source of revenue for themselves and their children.
